The sport of Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) involves a combination of acrobatics, strength and power across six different apparatus.

The purpose of the Competitive stream is to provides a pathway for development based on an individual’s physical ability. The objective is for all gymnasts to attempt to compete either regionally, provincially, nationally or internationally within their appropriate category/age group and abilities for as long as possible or to develop into an age group if they start gymnastics at a later age. The competitive is divided into 2 different streams:
Provincial Stream
The purpose of the Provincial Stream Program is to provide a beginner level competitive gymnastics program. These competitors may or may not move to the National Stream Level. Provincial Stream competitions will also accommodate the late beginners in our programs. The Provincial Stream caters to the beginner level gymnast. This stream coincides with GymCan’s standards and are as follows: All provincial categories must follow the GymCan Provincial Pathway document.
Elite Pathway
The purpose of the Elite Pathway Program is to provide a high-level competitive gymnastics program for our athletes and properly prepare our athletes who are able to follow the Elite Pathway towards international success in individual and team competitions.
These two streams provide a pathway for development based on an individual’s physical ability. The objective is for all gymnasts to attempt to compete within their appropriate age group and abilities for as long as possible or to develop into an age group if they start gymnastics at a later age
