The MAG SuperKids program was designed by David Boucher to provide a smooth transition from recreational and preschool gymnastics to men’s competitive gymnastics for athletes aged 4-7 years. It provides developmentally appropriate progression of physicals skills while gently introducing athletes to the structure and discipline of a competitive program. A competitive path is available if participants desire that route.
The SuperKids program is based on all events falling under Men’s Artistic Gymnastics and includes additional skills to challenge participants. The SuperKids Program contains four different levels.
SuperKid (1) develops locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative skills such as running, jumping, hopping, skipping, crab walking, stretching, lifting, twisting, and more.
SuperKid (2) focuses on more advanced skills in all MAG events. Participants learn all the necessary ¨shape¨ for gymnastics.
SuperKid (3) introduces the combining of skills acquired in the previous SuperKids levels.
SuperKid (4) introduces more new skills and establishes routines for all events. This introduces the athlete to simulated competition before moving into the competitive program.
